Re: Tank Destroyer AI

Thanks. Probably my playing a factor also. Great game by the way. I played the PC version and love the iPad incarnation. Nicely done.

iPad version control panel

Hi, is there a tutorial for the control panel on iPad (or any other version)? Sometimes my soldiers get a little house symbol next to them and they effectively disappear from the fight. I wanted to find out what that was about, but also see if the control panel info has a use (does it matter if a gu...

Re: Tank Destroyer AI

This is really frustrating me too. This is a great game but my god the jagdpanther AI seems to be uniquely retarded. I get that crews might be disoriented or scared but mostly these tanks have line of sight on shermans and don't take any shot. They just keep wiggling around and and changing line of ...

Nothing of the sort. I was applauding your helpfulness and modesty.

Thanks Quitch. Now we know you're really good at the game our discussions need not go any further.

The probelm with abandoning the man as Sean describes is that sometimes an attacking dino on a two on one situation can be caught by a dino running back. So you get the frustrating experience of just about getting to the oppo dino only for him to lob the ball to his unmarked team mate as your coveri...

Cheers fella. Are you happy that you have the same opinion as an AI dino?! (Joke, by the way). That's just the point though - I'm in acres of space. My dino could start a whole family of dinos and still have room to receive a pass without any interference. But his team mates are merrily bunging the ...

How far can a dino throw?

Are dino's only capable of passing within a certain range as I seem to have a number of occasions per game where I am in acres of space either on the far side of the pitch or in the end zone and my dinos refuse to throw me a long ball?

Tactical stuff

Hi. I've been taking a sneaky peek at the postings to see if I can pick up any tactics for this game and I noticed the debate earlier this year about defence. I've only been playing a few days but I have to admit that my defence is shocking and I'm in dispair of the idiocy of my dinos sometimes, but...

Now I've calmed down, what I was saying about difficulty is that very hard could actually be called too hard. I'm sure you military enthusiasts can win on very hard as you know a lot about the tactics involved to do it, it appears. I know that sometimes units had to face unbelieveable odds etc etc. ...

Just some feedback fella. I get the basic concept of very hard, so if I wanted patronising then I'd ask someone with a bit more imagination and wit than you have to do it.

You would know man, I've never done it. It does seem awkward not to be able to call a barrage down in exactly the same place as the last one though. Defence on hard and very hard is getting really tedious now though. AT gets taken out immediately and infantry just sits there and turns red. I now jus...

Question. What is the point of defending on very hard? All you do it put your two or three units somewhere on the map and then watch them get killed. Your artillery comes down so slowly, even if you want it to keep firing in the same place after the three salvos, so usually your men are dead before ...

All good ideas. Perhaps just the basic one would be to see what the unit was, rather than positioning etc. The idea, in my head at least, was that we know a unit is in there somewhere, but I'm hanging back with my light tanks because it's 1945, in Germany and those "old men and boys" of the Volksgre...

Enemy ID

I'm sure all you military experts will tell me why this is a silly idea, but is there any chance of prisoner or dead enemy ID, to see what sort of unit he was from? I'm sure in real wars people can see from the shoulder flashes which regisment/division they are up against. In fact, if literature is ...
