Looks like NOT then.
I am still playing too, but only because there is nothing else like it.

Is anyone still interested in this game?
Is anyone still interested in this game? Knut posted a thread and I did not reply to it for some time because I waited to see if anyone else would. Frankly I think it is pretty much a waste of time, because feedback has had almost no effect on the game. I can't think of any real improvements that ha...

I never play campaigns so I am with you on these points. 1. A good option for learning the game. Also, I would like to be able to do an instant surrender, with the enemy troops revealed. As it is, I have to order a retreat, and the enemy moves as my tyroops are retreating, so I can't see exactly whe...

Enemy always get to fire first.
I make this statement hoping anyone else will be able to refute it. I was reminded of the problem when Knut asked "So ever have the perfect ambush set up with enemy troops advancing directly across an open field towards your line?" I had a defense map where there was a canal crossing the map ("lowla...

My soldiers panic too
Yes I have had this happen, some time ago it worked in my favour and I reported it, I can't find the post now. When I noticed it the most, it was one of my guys who "panicked" in your words. "Behaved with exemplary courage" I called it. I sent a squad as a flank guard, towards a building from which ...

A small anti-tank gun behaves against infantry more like a sniper than anything else does. It can engage at longer range than a normal rifle. It induces a state of panic in the target and nearby troops, even when it misses. It costs more than an ordinary rifleman, as a highly-trained sniper should. ...

You just always have to have an ATR in the early war games, and it doesn't hurt to mod it so you can have one in late war games as well. I have it available for my Russians until 1945. It works well as a manually fired (by order) anti-infantry weapon if there's no armor to shoot at. This was discus...

Windows 7 cannot read Help Files
I just went to read the "Modifying Firefight" from from the Help Menu. It seems Win 7 is not backwards compatible with Help files created under the previous Windows. They piss me off. What would the equivalent in French be? I need this book. http://french.about.com/library/reviews/aafpr-streetfrench...

Thread revival
Good to see peeps are reading the old threads. I saw this before but today was the first time I answered the poll and saw the results. Good to see FF well supported. There is always going to be a problem with scale. I much prefer the FF scale to any other game. If you have big tanks the enemy are go...

tank speed
I made some WWI tanks, which I made with historical slow speed.
An unexpected benefit was they moved at the same speed as the infantry, so they were easier to control.
