Re: Flickering problem on Vista

That's great news, if you need a guinea pig for test versions I'd be happy to volunteer.

Flickering problem on Vista

Vista 32-bit running WordStorm 1.0 on an iMac from 2007. The graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon 2600 XT running driver version 8.17.0010.1129 (latest available from ATI for the card).

Each time a letter is added or removed from the letter row the whole window flickers.

Yes, but if we're going to have the new system then update the AI so it understands it! I'm tired of watching dinos mark in their opponents half when it's totally pointless.

It used to be possible to keep a flanking force to one side and then once the enemy engaged the objective, lap around behind them and destroy them. It depended on the map, but I had quite the success rate going for a while. However, I think Sean actually took one of my suggestions to heart and had t...

I know you can turn it off, I'm the one who got that feature added :) I hate to contradict you, but I can turn it off, it's on the option menu. I have version 1.1 You're contradicting me saying you can turn it off by telling me... I can turn it off?? Unfortunately, you cannot turn off the new tackl...

* More objective types.

* Multiple objectives per map.

* Missions where part of your army is from another nation and under computer control.

* Campaigns where forces carry over, as does money.

I just won the D1 Championship for the first time... and it took me 18 seasons. lol I had, and still have, the same problems with defense, my dinos leaving their man to run for the ballcarrier who's about to be caught from behind anyway. The single biggest reason for Dinos leaving their man tends t...

Less predictable games. As for higher scoring, I don't recall, it was a long while ago.

I like the idea of hearing tank engine sounds as they approach your men though.

Also, I've always said the game would benefit from some of those line things that show height on the hills, or perhaps some exaggerated shading.

I do love reading your tactical breakdowns :). I'm also bloody impressed at the number of kills your fourth squad got. It's almost always a combination of tank and artillery kills for me, while infantry squads play spot and pin. BTW, ATL + PrtScn takes a screenshot of only the active window, not the...
