That may be a frame capture issue, although don't take my word for it.

I used these settings when capturing that gameplay:

Rate in frames per second:
Record:10
Play:10

Cursor/Full frame capture ratio: 1

Key Frame: 100 Frames

Video Compressor: Auto Select

Playing Around

With HyperCam version 2 now being free, I thought I play around with its desktop recording abilities and decided to capture Critical Mass gameplay. The battle that unfolded was much more epic than could have been anticipated so I decided to post the video on youtube. I may do more of this in the fut...

I always place my wingmen in positions 6 and 7 with line formation and loose spacing. On attack missions when I am flying a stealth ship, I usually don't even let them near the area of conflict and command them to avoid contact. On defense missions, I hope for the best, but expect the worst.

Thank you. I designed it to be simple and to the point. I may spruce it up graphically at some point, but I like to keep my main focus on the ships. I am really looking forward to seeing your designs become available. The backstory has interested me greatly. I would also love to see more designers m...

Very good point. I can imagine the importance of such a ship to have an omniscient eye on the battlefield as its fighter escort engages the enemy. It would indeed add to the immersive gameplay this amazing little program already offers.

I have used stealth liberally is some of my designs. My first design, the Vashnin has about 11 stealth modules and was responsible for getting my first 200+ mission commander. On attack missions, I usually set my wingmates to circle and then, when I find the enemy, I have them avoid contact. This wa...

The idea of having a large warship makes me think about a long forgotten, but awesome game I used to play: Tachyon the Fringe. Some of the vest mission on that game were fighting large warships. I remember quite well approaching those monsters strapped in my little fighter, dodging through its aweso...

As reported in another thread, I have made another slightly large update to my site. I didn't want to take away from the overall subject in that thread, so I will further explain the updates in my little corner on this forum here. Three new families have been added. First, the Fire family: This grou...

Very awesome designs Shrike! For the most part, I prefer not to mess with the color scheme of the ships that much. I am too much of a purist in that sense and I also like having my designs switch colors if I ever decide to play as another race. (I don't think I have once, though.) With that being sa...

I second that motion. That was an excellent read. I really like your attention to character development. The ending was quite suspenseful, also.

These designs are absolutely beautiful!

I think my favorite design is the Broadsword.

I can tell you definitely have a different flying style than I as many of the ships have a higher thrust than turning rate. I found that this ability is quite useful for dodging oriks.

Thanks!! Well...it has been a long time. I have been lurking the forums occasionally, but have been too busy to sit down and post something. In the midst of bagpipe lessons, college studies, and work I have barely had time to breathe...until now. Without further delay, I give to you something that I...
