Anyone who has played ADOM will understand just how much this kind of realistic "one chance" setting can add to your enjoyment of a game. Also, this way, if someone talks about the time they took on an enemy base in a mostly-crippled ship, and managed to complete the mission, getting a gold cross an...

I got this game (v0.5) and I recommend it to all Critical Mass fans. It's less polished than Critical Mass, and doesn't have a career mode as such, but you can control more than one ship, tiem your shots, play against other people, and have a wide array of options/weapons (shotguns, anyone?) It isn'...

It would have to be quite different from Slay. At the moment Slay is a game about imbalance - at the start a 4 hex kingdom with one guy is quite good. Then a few turns later you must get spearmen almost as soon as (hopefully before) the opponents do. Then towers come in, and slow the game down sligh...

Credit where it's due
That looks like a really cool game - I'll download it asap.
As I'm going to get your game because I read about it on Sean's site, you could place a link back to Sean's site from yours, to encourage people to try the windows games?

I just bought all the games. I'd previously bought Critical Mass (a loooong time ago). Let's compare Critical Mass to another game I bought, Master of Orion 3... Critical Mass: Excellent fun, well thought out, constant redevelopment. The game play from v2 to v4 has changed massively, the graphics ar...

I'm not sure all these suggestions are necessary, and might just complicate what is already a brilliant game. My favourite suggestions though, are: Decoys - like escape pods but lockable by missles and releasing them doesn't mean you've ejected. Wingman orders - so you can order an AI to follow you ...

Morale (specifically tanks)
Just got the complete package, three cheers for Sean :-) I had Critical mass many years ago, but couldn't remember my order details at all. I'd been waiting for Firefight for a long time, hoping matrix games would finally get around to doing something with it...so as I'm no longer a student I decide...
