That one's easy - the host would pick a mission, but one of the missions would be "free-for-all battle". EDIT: It probably wouldn't be the same set of missions you had available in single-player, though. And yes, teams would be balanced through points limits. So the most basic mission might be Xpts ...

Don't get too carried away... remember, networking it would be a huge amount of work for Sean and (afaik) he's not said it's in his plans.

But yeah, it would be really cool.

Just add an option for a time limit (set by the host) to turns.

In our board game version (UK), you don't get to hand in the cards you gain until the following turn, even if (after killing someone) you have 5 or more. That pretty much takes care of this problem... perhaps Sean should add that as a rule option?

It is true that I've never made a team that wouldn't be slaughtered by ships that worked together. Something as simple as ships not crashing into each other so often would be a start! And has anyone ever made a custom mission where the map is littered with asteroids? I haven't, but I bet you'd be th...

I was under the impression that the Killers were pretty big in both the US and the UK. So either you guys or from somewhere else, or I'm wrong (or you're getting on a bit, you old fogies).

Anyway, go here...

I liked Busted, actually, but McFly? Oh dear.

Maybe Sean can give you a discount on buying the rest.

I might be mistaken. But I am positive that I am right that drone means unmanned. (Disclaimer: not all details may be 100%. But that's more or less it. Also in Sean's case, I suspect he just didn't think about it.) HAHAHAHA I noticed you think drones are wasp FIGHTERS. HAHAHA Drones mate with the q...

That's only one use of the word. Traditionally, "Drone" was a bit like "Grunt" or "Brute" - it referred to something rather simple, but useful in numbers. In particular, a drone is a type of wasp - I think the basic fighter. In recent times, some-one else has adapted the word to mean something simpl...

C'mon, network play would be amazing. But that would be a whole lot of work, so I guess it's unlikely. Improve the routines for the AI flying past asteroids, and deciding when to shoot. I mean, an AI craft with a Plectron is just sad... The ability to make a "Custom Campaign". Wouldn't take much, ju...

I reckon Football-o-Saurus is pretty under-rated. Sure, the AI is pretty infuriating, but otherwise it's fun and leaves plenty of scope for skill.

That, Conquest and CM are my favs. I didn't really enjoy the new one, Escape from Atlantis, though.

Basically, you get gold crosses by killing an expensive pile of ships, whilst flying a cheap one yourself. Of course, this is dangerous, but as long as you keep ejecting in good time you're going to get one sooner or later if your ship is cheap enough... The disadvantage of this tactic is that havin...

The Drone is clearly manned in this game.

How do I know? Well, you can fly it. If you get shot, you die. That sounds manned to me... so it clearly needs an escape pod.

You can argue about whether a drone ought to be manned, but it is.

Do you like the game?

Full version gives you more options and more maps, essentially. Means you can give yourself a far tougher challenge, and also the game has better replay value.

I think I've seen this happen when I don't hold a continent. And it's certainly more common than you suggest, as I've seen it at least a dozen times (and I hate to think I've played more than 20,000 turns in a month or two). I almost always play with a modified 'World' where Middle East and East Afr...
