I wholy agree. I can't count how many time I've assumed I've destroyed all mission-sensitive ships, hyperspace, and fail the mission because I forgot to kill one eject turret or something... It's really frustrating!!!

I figure it would depend on the number of rear engines in ship

Missiles... I think you can click on one and see it's thrust... but I don't think it's very exact. I've seen Yataris just ZOOM when they're suppose to be slow.

I've never had that happen to me...

I guess it'd be disappionting if it happened after you bough the perfect ship for this mission and you were raring for a fight, But I suppose it could be if you say, used an anaconda and found yourself srrounded by dreadnoughts...

I likethe first idea. It makes sense, i mean, if a sub with a nuke on board explodes, wouldn't the nuke also?

The third idea sounds good too, ordering specific ship to do things

Your second idea.....
