Re: Niggle connection problems

Sorry about that! Is it the network games that are crashing? Or solo games?

I'm not sure there's much I can do about lost connections as that's something that is maintained by iOS via Bluetooth and your WiFi router and not by my app itself.

Re: Updates?

I have just released a small update for iOS which added some of the infantry squads starting mounted on your halftracks.

Next year I really want to get 9 Eastern front maps done, but that is a lot of work for me to do!

Re: iPhone X Hand in amount

Sorry about that! To get things working on the iPhone X I had to flip the coordinate system I use so that (0,0) is now at the top left rather than at the bottom left. I thought I'd flipped all the maths in everything that is drawn but I missed that one out. I did release a new update a couple of day...

Critical Mass for iOS

I've released a version of Critical Mass for iOS which you can see here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/critical-mass-war-in-space/id1313190924?mt=8 I think it's an improvement on the current Windows version as although it uses the 3D looking ships it plays more like the original version with only ...

Re: Tank Destroyer AI

I've had a quick check pitting a single Jagdpanther against an enemy tank so the Jagdpanther had to turn to face the enemy before shooting and that seemed to work OK but I'll play through the Jagdpanther scenario and see if under actual combat situations there's a bug there. I guess in real life tho...

Re: Critical Mass

I did get back into Windows programming and I've ported the new versions of Firefight, Slay and Conquest (so far) back from iOS. Firefight and Slay are both now on Steam: Firefight: http://store.steampowered.com/app/500190 Slay: http://store.steampowered.com/app/563200/ Conquest is still waiting for...

Re: Wizard over the internet

I used Apple's own networking system which only allows connections to be made over a local WiFi network or using Bluetooth. In the future I'll look into using an internet wide system, but that will make discovering and connecting to devices a bit more complex.

Map Editor app

I've made the Map Editor (it's a Windows app) freely available from:

http://www.windowsgames.co.uk/download/ ... rSetup.exe

This edits and creates maps for the Steam and iOS versions of Firefight (but not the old Windows version).

I'll work on a webpage for instructions for it too.

Re: Line of Sight Bug?

Sorry about that bug! For the machine guns in tanks I accidentally put in the code "if you can't see the target then shoot" instead of "if you can see the target then shoot". OOOoops! I've got it fixed and sent off but it'll take a few days for Apple to approve the update. Thanks for brining it to m...

Re: Trouble with Steam version

Thanks for figuring out what the problem was and my guess is it's a false positive. I built the .exe file using Visual Studio and then packaged it straight up and sent it to Steam. I'm no expert on viruses but I would have thought a virus couldn't get into that .exe file and also Steam would do chec...

Re: Where is Firefight "Original"?

As you've bought the new version I'd be happy to send you a free full copy of the old version. Please send me an email to sean@windowsgames.co.uk and I'll reply with a link. I removed the old version links as I was worried people would see the new version on Steam and then go to my website and downl...
