What is the best main battle tank in existence today? The Abrahams? The Leopard? The Merkava? Which one is the most expensive? The second question is much easier to answer than the first. The first usually comes down to how you define best. Now, as for a "real" solution, increasing the price of tabk...

I've had limited success with hiding the FGs behind the hill and only moving them into position when the tanks are in range. This seems to give their position away pretty quickly though (probably due to the movement). IMO, what's needed is the ability to place a "don't shoot until..." line. For exam...

Ever notice that enemy mortars are uncannily accurate while your guys need 3 ranging shots before they can even hit a target? To make mortars work for you, quit aiming them. Instead place them relatively close to the action and let them select their own targets. They too will become William Tells of...

I agree, which is why I like the prospect of increasing prices for successive purchases. However, historical accuracy should be accounted for as well. It could be argued that rare tanks should cost more to prevent you from fielding 5 Elefants. Think about it...with only 90 ever produced, how would y...

There is no reason for better tanks to cost more. More <> better. just because something costs more doesn't mean it's better. For example, the Edsile (SP?) was an expensive luxury car, but it sucked eggs.

I do like the idea of tank prices icreasing with each successive tank purchase though.

From a strictly logistical stand point, corpses are better than casualties. Casualties require doctors, nurses, and medicine in addition to the same food and supplies a healthy soldier requires. All this attention must be supplied fairly quickly, so you must have enough staff and supplies to meet th...

A bug? (but a great one if it is!)

I just had a guy go from 1 shot and 4 grenades to 45 shots and 8 grenades. Is it possible to pick up ammo from dead guys, or is this a bug?

had HQ just behind my lines fire 3-4 rounds forward, then retreat. this made the tanks rumble forward before infantry got there and straight at the PS, which took all three out with three shots That is a great tip! Putting 2 or 3 bazookas way out front with the HQ behind them works like a charm. I ...

I can answer a couple of them... Tanks will run over troops (although it is possible that they could get shot at the last moment). If you have a man run over by a tank and right click on the troops to get their status, you'll see a death description of "Run Over". I have also had several missions wh...

I just had another thought while I was playing my latest campaign. Wounded troops should have their condition worsen during battle to reflect loss of blood or shock (especially badly wounded men). And for that matter, they could "heal" too to reflect shock from a minor wound wearing off.

They go just fine assuming you have more than 4 or 5 tanks. Late war Germans do chew up a lot of tanks though. Fortunately the panzerfausts only have one shot.
