...unless you make that tank have a big enough icon to be seen, but is 1 pixel by 1 pixel by 1 pixel and armed to the teeth, with ridiculous top speeds.

I've done it, using a picture of my head as the tank, and a cigar for the turret

The Italians getting a "bloody nose" attacking France overland....

Did I not see the figures somewhere (Watching 'The World at War', IIRC), of Italian casualties ~5000 killed, many more wounded, French casualties 8. That would be eight as in seven plus one.... :shock:

when defending, sit your flamethrower on the objective. That or have a few out infront of your lines, so they can zap the tanks when they stop (they usually run away and get shot, though)

In attacks theyre less than useless

the way im using to get around this - play the part of your commanders replacement. by this i mean when you get killed, start a new campaign with the same country in the month your last guy kicked the bucket this way you still progress through the war, the challange being to use as few commanders as...

perhaps only running away if the guns are pointing towards you (firing arc) for raw troops, if its shooting close range at you for regular and about to run you over for elite...

well there are certain bits of tank behaviour that are modeled poorly in firefight - an early t34 stopping well out of range to fire at a tiger is going to be smoking pretty soon. it comes from as far back as 17th century naval warfare - the shorter gunned is usually the lighter and so closes as max...
