be sure to save your ships first. Once you replace the ships file, your ships will no longer be available and won't be recoverable unless you save them first. I have never tried to build more than 50 custom ships so can't say for sure if there is a limit. The basic formula for ships is that you will be presented options and can select ships with value up to 1/3 of total money available. I am running one of the beta versions of Slay. I can't choose which player. When I start a game, it randomly comes up with 1 of the 6 possible players. It is quite a bit of fun to play. Many of the islands are more difficult to play with a different starting player.

Playing HASH #115 today as player #5 medium green and found it to be a very challenging island. My first attempt won in 30 days, second in 29 days, and third in 21 days. It is arguably one of the best to play to challenge your skills.

Congratulataions, you have won arguably the most difficult island in Slay. I played it again just to see if I could do better with my current skill level. I easily beat it in 23 days and think I might be able to take it down to 20 or 21. It is TOUGH!

The first number is the numeric sequence of the islands. The second number is the internal number for that island. Every one of the islands can be won on the most difficult setting in version 5.0 when playing as the default player. However, when playing as alternate colors, there are exactly 2 islands that cannot be won.

I have a modified version of critical mass that permits the AI to use a certain number of custom ships. There are rules that have to be followed to get them to work properly.

There are no perfect moves, only moves that lead to winning and others that lead to losing. You are getting beat because you are not yet good enough. :) The last upgrade, Sean took my "days to win" file and mapped the islands so that the easy wins are generally at the beginning and the harder levels at the end.
