The entire point of having custom designed ship sizes and custom fillings are that to make the entire game more functional. If size is determined by the equipment a ship has, then there wouldn't be as much fun. That aside, I would love a concept of cutting--a ship ramming a much smaller ship and tha...

The further you go, the easier life becomes until your opponents have the power to cremate you in their sleep.

As commanders go, I got the luckiest run ever... I just recorded down the info a while ago, maybe 30 minutes. Commander Name: Lord Red [R] Total Missions: 488 Total Kills : 2403 Total Success: 440 Total Success Rate: 90.2% Medals: *Thanks for the Reader by the way* Medal of Honor: 139 Conspicuous Br...

I had flown into turret rings on purpose to let them get rid of themselves with drachan fire; there was a custom design mission where Drachans flew thick and fast in the first five turns, that gets painful quickly; Collateral Damage, I call it. I had an enemy leader take a shot for me; A scout, whic...

I vary. I tend to have a team of very small weaklings if I'm being evil, but generally I favor strong ships over a large fleet of weaker ones. It's possible to get 7 good ships really quick, as long as you stay alive; I managed to get 7 Warrior equivalents (Better, for all super shields on all sides...

Nah... not a good idea. Better off with in-game upgrades (not ship design) like a distortion field, or bullet guard, since Distortion fields does not work on missiles very well. As for ECMs... it should do something like clicking on the ECM icon and trailing small objects that has the same effect as...

I use Plectrons almost exclusively, and therefore I rarely pilot sole bombers (Those with a balance of Plectrons and Yataris) but I do use Yataris for luck and fun; interception is what I like to do.

Then how do the turrets get put into place? Tugs?

My friend tried a Mobile Turret idea once, and unfortunately, all my designs have incorporated that idea. If only I heard from this sooner...

They only tend to overkill to make sure that their opponent is nice and dead.

It's a useful strategy, I tried it once; I had about as much friendly kills as enemy kills, and, therefore, no medal; but it felt good. :D

Stealth is about as useful as a butterknife in a major skirmish, since computers aren't fooled by stealth, I'd say Repairbots are worth more than stealth. I've managed to come out victorious with no side shields; I got really, really lucky; One of my custom-designed ships (AuraLuce, a beefed up vers...

I managed to keep my top Straylian commander alive for 485 missions, using a full team of my best designs (7 ships costing 424 credits each, yeah, it took a loooooooooooong time) but I got killed by a Turret Super; too much firepower. Then again, every mission I design had too much firepower: One mi...

True; though there are certain missions where the wingmen fire off all their Drachans in the first few turns... As soon as they have a target, bye bye birdy.
