Very few radios.
Troops on the ground had enough trouble maintaining communications with their HQ, let alone airplanes. For the scale... allowing infantry to ride HTs or on the sides of tanks (very dangerous, but some Red Army soldiers did do this), or trucks make sense. Trucks make sense for a possible "irregulars ...

Fire ascendancy; troop quality
First bit is, as the other posters noted, to be shooting enough to suppress the enemy more. If you're attacking, that means looking for routes where you can bring to bear a substantial part of your force on a smaller portion of the defense. You'll need to counter the defender's advantage in spotting...

Cost question; FJ experience; PIATs vs rockets
Hm. How are unit costs determined? I've noticed some variation across battles, so I'm guessing that quantity produced matters, but it's clearly not the whole shebang -- is it a complex formula? Just noticed one bit that I'd suspected -- looking at the American infantry squads, the regular vs. elite ...

Heh... M1 easier to add than a T-35?
Wouldn't surprise me if it were easier to support modern AFVs later on than it would be to support non-anachronistic oddballs like the five-turreted T-35 (1x76.2L16, 2x either 37mm or 45mm/L46, 2x mg !). Thankfully, the T-35 not appearing isn't very ahistorical, either, given how few were constructed.

Terminology clarification
I overreacted, as well. My bad. 'Remote' in this case pretty much means that it's operated without a guy manning it from directly behind the gun, where presumably he'd be far more exposed. As you noted, the 360deg mg frequently found on the top of the turret does expose the tank commander to substan...

Remote MGs.
It's not my fault if you're unaware that they did exist in the '40s. on the Hetzer: http://www.pzfahrer.net/hetzermgs.html on some of the StuG IIIG as of 1944: http://www.achtungpanzer.com/stug.htm Search for 'Rundumsfeuer'. MG34, column base, periscope, drum magazine. Usable without exposing the cr...
Battlefields always seem so pristine
* Variable level of pre-existing damage to battlefield (craters, rubble).
* Variable supply level e.g. initial ammo allotments reflected with different costs.
* Variable manpower level e.g. depleted squads.

Tanks vs. buildings -- too easy?
It seems a bit too easy for tanks to smash through buildings. At the moment, rapidly smashing through a double row of buildings with a Sherman M4A4 is quite feasible. There's no risk of getting stuck in the rubble, or getting the gun knocked out of alignment. There's also relatively low risk from in...

AP/AT ammo split
* Division of generic shells to AP/AT based on unit type.
* Preference of AP vs infantry, unarmored / lightly-armored vehicles. Limited penetration.

Documentation nit; turret front armor specs?
The table of tanks in the documentation lists the Jagdpanther as having the same 75mm cannon as the turreted PzV, but the data file correctly specifies the 88L71. Leafing through the data files, one thing that bothers me is that the ArmorTurretFront setting seems to be very high for the vehicles I'v...

Flavor, mission briefing
I wonder if the flavor would be enhanced with individual ship names. This might allow some interesting directions, such as -- Being told which ships you're targeting by name. At least, an 'objective flag' indicator would help certain strange cases such as the Ambush mission type, where there may be ...

Stealthiness and spotting
Hrrmmm. I have my doubts that starships would be fighting anywhere near visual range. That said, it might not be unreasonable for a ship to be less stealthy when it's damaged; having a hull breach and perhaps scattering debris or allowing assorted detectable emissions is probably going to make you e...
