Don't be ignorant. The computer doesn't win games by being better than you. Instead, it wins games by making YOUR team stupid. Ignorant? I think in your case the computer wins by taking advantage of your mistakes... I'd challenge you to a match, but you'd probably claim that I rigged the teams befo...

While I know it would affect the profitability of the game, I'd like to suggest that future versions only require the "server" for a network game to have a fully licensed copy of the game. Other players can use the demo version to connect to the server, but I think the game itself (particularly as a...

I think a good compromise would be to use both behaviours - split the field into three areas - the end areas use the "new" system and the center field has the old system, with clearly defined lines to show where the end zones begin. I think if you did this though, you'd need to make the fields longe...

Re: Cheating
Oh, P-L-E-A-S-E..... I've played the game at least 200 times. I'm not saying that the game isn't fun, it is. However, beating it has nothing to do with "learning" the AI. It does however, have everything to do with whether or not the computer decides to cheat or not during that particular game. 200...

Sab - get someone to get that massive chip extracted from your shoulder... :( The defense AI doesn't cheat, admittedly it does seem to go through random good form/bad form moments, but for the most part its fair and reasonably predictible. It's like any AI system - once you learn how it works, you c...

Will there ever be an update?
HI All, I've recently come back to this game, and am enjoying it, but noticing so much more the bugs and issues that have been mentioned in previous threads. The game concept and engine is great - this game deserves a version 2.0, but I don't know if the will or the interest is there to make this ha...

Hiya, Agree with most of these, but would vary on a few as well. Re : Watch or skip - nice idea, but I think it'd get boring pretty quickly. Only in if you could check-box the games you want to watch, and the default option being to skip. Re : Random sides - good idea, but let's expand the competiti...

Online/Network Games
Has anyone played around much with network games? just trying to get a feel about how it works both as a LAN game and also over the internet. What sort of speeds/latency are required for a decent Internet game? Also, would anyone be interested in some sort of online community that could be set up fo...

I've used the same trick many a time, you can do a similar move with the 1-1-3 formation running what is essentially a "slant" path. I took on playing the CF to see how I could go at winning the kickoff positions - finally managed to win using 3-1-1 in CF position, winning as the right back is much ...

Easiest/Hardest formations and player pacings
Hi There, Just a curiousity question - what formations and positions do people generally prefer to play? My preferred and best performed is now playing 1-1-3, and playing as the right winger. Second would probably be 1-2-2, playing the right back (great attacking overlap opportunities with this!). F...
