Programming language

I'm only 15, and don't know much on programming. I've done limited amounts of programming in Visual Basic. Out of curiosity, what language did you write Slay and your other games on, Sean? Is the language any different for the Pocket PC programs? I have a few ideas for games myself. It would be sooo...

Wow... tough forum-members. I still think $20 is too much, but I'll live with it.

AI improvement

I have noticed that in many cases I have won through "loop-holes" in the computer's AI. For instance, the computer almost always decided to capture the easiest territory possible, even on hard mode. But then, often, it will move away all but two pieces, and the next computer play just captures that....

Say, didn't this game use to cost $25, in 1996? I guess I can say the price has dropped then.

Well... thanks for not selling it for a higher price.

One question--how long did it take you to make Conquest, or any other game, for the PPC?

That's where I disagree; I see productrs similair to Conquest at a lower price, not a higher one. (I've seen computerized games of Risk in the store, for the PC, for $3.99)

But I can understand your point with Sean, I was aware of that too. Hence my apology.

Only? You can't choose number of players, choose the AI levels seperately, change number of human players, etc., on the PPC version? I'm sure those are included... I really want to check if I buy Pocket Slay, though.

All right... let me put it this way...

Who wants to pay less for Pocket Conquest? We all do (except Sean, of course. Sorry).

Difference between PPC edition and PC

There's a random map generator for the computer Slay, right? My question is, is there one for the Pocket PC version as well?

Oh yeah, and another question. Are all the maps of decreased size for the Pocket PC edition? Or are the 3 demo maps just really small?

200 times is an exaggeration, probably. And if I forked out ten cents every time I played the game, I'd delete it from my PPC. Still, I think $20 is too much considering what else there is out there.

And, Warring States I played at least 2000 times. And it's freeware.

Sadly, I have to continue on that this game is too expensive. Warfare incorporated, another GREAT game for just about any handheld, caught my attention all summer. And at $30, that was a good deal. It was extensive with graphics, plot, etc. It also had multiplayer play over bluetooth and internet. A...
