If you've bought Slay once, you've bought it forever. $20 gets you all the new versions in perpetuity. Email Sean and ask for the new version. And try some multiplayer Slay: it's a very different game.

That's very interesting, I'd never heard of anyone being timed out before. That may have been what happened when we were all connected but waiting on Bryce for like 15 minutes, then when I started the game it crashed.

sunday slay match for March 20 : possible bug

Well seven people showed up this Sunday to play net Slay. One person had to opt out of course, and we played what I think is the first 6 human player game in Slay's history. We used the DW-Great Lakes map. It was very enjoyable, with seesawing and treaties made and broken left and right. An intense ...

If you register, you get all the updates forever. All you have to do is mail Sean when a new version comes out.

Just keep playing on very hard level and you will get better and better. The day will come when you find the AI too easy.

That's too bad. Would it be possible to allow the host to assign positions at the start of a new net game? Or perhaps save a net game, then allow it to be loaded and new players assigned to the various positions, regardless of the previous IPs?

Suggestion: saveable net games

Net games, especially with more than two players, can last a very long time. Just today four of us played one map for over three hours - and we weren't even halfway done. It would be very nice if one could save the multiplayer game and finish it another day with the same players.

Raistlin - Good idea but should be optional, as it would make multiplayer games significantly longer - they're already quite long (1 hour is not unusual for four players). BoxZone - By "perfectly" I mean "nearly". My first idea is a Chinese checkers style board - a big star of David - with each play...

Selection of start positions and all hex colors. Basically there is a need for perfectly balanced maps for net play. At the moment you can make a symmetrical shape but the start positions are randomly assigned so someone will have an advantage.

An improved editor

I was wondering how advanced are the plans for an improved map editor. Thanks Sean!

We had a four player game today at 12 noon Pacific Standard Time (that's 8pm Greenwich I think). It was a lot of fun and we'll probably do it again next Saturday at the same time. All are welcome.

If the man is already alive, then the best way to "remove" him is to send him into enemy territory on a peninsula to get cut off and die. But really you shouldn't ever have to sacrifice men.
