4. Huts, when smashed, should return to the center of the territory. Now they return to the northwest, which gives a crucial advantage to players in the northwest.

I think it's so complicated as to be an exercise in futility. I don't think there's much point in ranking maps until there's a new map editor.

We all know what makes a fun multiplayer map: large open areas, so that most people get a chance to develop, a few lakes, very few bottlenecks.

Ranking will be more or less meaningless until we get balanced maps. As it is it's mostly a question of start positions.

Suggestions for the next version of Slay

Sean, I know you're a hardworking man with a lot on his plate, but here are a couple of suggestions for the next version of Slay. Thanks for writing the game! 1. A map editor that allows you to choose the starting territories. This would allow the creation of balanced maps for multiplayer. This is t...

It's cool that you're getting a group together, but I don't understand why there's a need for a new forum. This place is fine for arranging games.

Barons are fine the way they are. They cost so much to maintain that they are rarely built in multiplayer games. I see no need for a supercastle.

One rule change that might improve multiplayer games would be to make castles more expensive - 20 like they used to be. Multiplayer games can bog down into castle forests, so making them pricier might keep the game more fluid.

I won't be around for the next couple of weekends but there will probably still be multiplayer games on sunday and at other times as people are inclined. All Slay players are welcome to join us.

Oh my stars and garters. I've broken this island. Beat it a second time: 32 days, and I see where I can tighten up.

Tomato Man, I am coming up behind you.

I cannot believe it. I have just beaten this island. 39 days, though I played pretty slop towards the end when it was clear I would win.

Could I repeat the performance? Maybe. Maybe not. But it's POSSIBLE, gentlemen!

Island #64 - The Babymaker

This is the official Island #64 thread. As folk from Rochester to Riyadh know, Island #64 is called "The Babymaker" for its ability to reduce full-grown men to weak blubbering infants, sometimes within five turns. How far have you got on this island? What strategies have you tried? How do you releas...
