Computer vs. Computer Matches

When you play through the leagues, how are the computer vs. computer matches sorted out? Is each match played through really quickly (with no graphics etc.), or do they just use a random number generator? Also, it's clear that some teams are better than others - the game gets tougher as you rise thr...

Actually, there's room for another troop unit that you didn't mention: the equivalent of the Assasin from Stratego, i.e., something that could kill everything else. It would need a serious disadvantage; this could be i) anything can kill him ii) he dies automatically after a turn iii) he's expensive...

Oh, and one other thing:

How much trouble would it be to make a mission with >2 nations? You'd need to change the mission editor... and run AI twice/three times over... but I don't think you'd have to do anything new.

Are you ever going to release a small improvement to CM (or any other game), or will we just have to wait for a total rebuild? As an example, an easy upgrade could be the ability to make a campaign - we'd just need a window, "Design Campaign", in which we'd select a sequence of missions, a starting ...
