In offence, it could simply call it on most intense source of fire, with a 10m shift towards the nearest friendly unit.

One thing that I would like to see would be a variable endurance to losses of the enemy commander. I think that goes right along the lines of having different 'styles of command' available to the AI, which often match starts debates about faction doctrines, stereotypes and statistics. Regardless of...

I think I'm playing Firefight too much lately...

When I close my eyes, I see hordes of infantrymen with scary purple circles around them and I see pink gun projectiles XD . Also, I hear sounds of gunfire.

Is it normal XD ?

One thing that I would like to see would be a variable endurance to losses of the enemy commander. Defence often ends with only about friendly one left alive and enemy withdrawing with thrice as much left. I think that player often wins only by being completely ruthless and pressing on regardless of...

Gun pathing problems...

I have noticed that guns tend to do some very weird stuff when they are ordered to move. They often move forward, even when they are ordered to retreat. I tried to order a 57mm AT gun to move backwards for 15 minutes, without positive results. At first it did nothing, then after several attempts it ...

-Ability to jump to an event (for example, x-got killed) by clicking on the event message.
-Units getting under fire displayed as an event message, with a distinction between direct, indirect and artillery fire.

Sometimes it's easy to miss an enemy artillery strike.

Medal of Honour: SS "Dirlewanger" would be awesome  .

Generally, I love playing bad guys and lack of WWII FPS games from Nazi perspective is a huge disappoint to me.

Generally, I think that it would be nice if the campaign would have a more realistic flow.
For example the player's force captures a hill, digs in, an enemy artillery barrage arrives and a counter-attack begins (next mission).
Some battles could last a few days with attacks and counter-attacks.

with such marvelous ideas as not supplying millions of men with winter clothing, oil and other essential items for a winter campaign, because 'there will be no more winter campaigns'. 'There will be no more winter campaigns' is just another way of saying 'our logistics aren't prepared for such a bi...

The Poles had cossack-like cavalry. To combat the blitzkrieg, they would have mass cavalry charges against the tanks. Surprisingly, these sometimes went pretty well. I believe they had a few tanks, most likely WW1 era tanls though. There weren't any "massive cavalry charges against the tanks" durin...

If the infantry is pinned down by infantry that escorts tanks, it probably won't run to a tank anyway. I guess I don't understand you. If you want "unrealism" in a game, you probably should find another game. What's even the point in Sean trying to make an "unrealistic" version of the game? He's gon...

I managed to run Firefight in WINE. It loads much slower than on Win98 (generating a map takes a few minutes) but at least I can finally play with normal colour depth. The terrain looks quite lovely :) .

Are you sure that accounts for AT-guns effectiveness against infantry sufficiently? Yes. The main advantage of AT guns is their concealment. Destroying spotted guns with tank guns would be easier with realistic accuracy too. I'm in no doubt that you are correct in that it's very possible to overcom...
