That would be great, Sean, thanks very much!
"Distinct" is a fine name for it.

custom colour s cheme
I spent a couple hours this afternoon tinkering to come up with a nice colour scheme for Slay -- something with very different colour values for each player, and hopefully rather appealing. This is what I came up with -- plug it into the .skn file of your favourite theme and choose the "theme defaul...

idea for (an option for) the next generation of Slay
How about this? It might add to the tactical complexity of the game... Take the current production and wage values, and multiply them all by 10, so each hex produces 10 per turn, peons cost 20 per turn, castles cost 150 to build, and so on. Then introduce the following costs: peons cost 1 per hex to...

I would love to try to write an AI for Slay! We could have a toruney pitting out Slay AI's against each other. That would be excellent! If anything, the hut-relocating algorithm is not random enough. It always seems to crop up in the upper left of the territory. I'd like to put in a request for a re...

Yahoo Group - New Maps
Hi All! I couldn't figure out an easy way to upload the maps I've drawn for Slay (I'm no computer genius) so I set up a site on Yahoo. http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/slaygame/ There -- for your amusement -- are 15 maps, some of which are quite good, if I say so myself. Enjoy! And happy Slaying.......

How do I set up a server?
Hi!
I just registered my copy of SLay... found it on
the net about a week ago. Great game! But I'm
eager to play against people.... the AI is pretty
good but it falls for the same traps all the time.
I have a static IP address -- how do I set up my 'puter to be a Slay server?
Cheers,
Dave
