Clear any cookies related to this domain, I've had that problem on a couple forums, and a few websites with shopping carts, before.

There was a time before I bought it when I would have disagreed. But yes, it's definitely worth the price. Paid much more for some games that I never play.

Yeah, it's an Audigy with the latest drivers available from Creative. But, good news, sort of, is that last night it happened while Slay wasn't running. I don't think it's a hardware problem, as logging out of my account and back in fixes it, so I'm not power cycling anything. Guess the search conti...

Could Slay 5.0u be killing my sound in Win2k Pro?

I occasionally lose all volume, maybe twice a month, and the first I notice it is always while playing Slay. Only happens on this computer, running Service Pack 4. I don't think it's Slay itself, but a perfect storm of factors, where something in Slay is the last straw, but I really have no idea. Ju...

Never seen that happen, and I've played a LOT of games with AI. What does tend to happen sometimes, is a baron gets caught in a small bubble of a cut, and the AI loses it without losing many other men.

I've played entire StarCraft games in my head while sleeping, and in my waking hours, while working the land here on the farm, I find myself deciding where I'd deploy my guns and infantry if I were defending against an enemy assault on this hill or that woodlot.

I can read a topo map... it's really not that difficult. Contour lines sound like a good call.

A few years older, not much wiser, still playing slay from time to time. Have not played anything but the AI in a couple of years. Once in a while I post about days to win a given island and get a rash of "it can't be done". I kind of miss the days when you and the others had to gang up on me to be...

The bundle and individual demo might be installed to different directories. Make sure you're running the right executable.

You can set up a PBeM game if you want. Make two human players, agree on the settings, and after you finish your turn, save the game and send it to the person you're playing with.

Critical Mass uses the registry to help keep the RoH honest. Probably the problem.

I run it on a system with an aged 128mb card... but I have over 700 megs of system memory.

An Athlon 2000 based system has slower bus speeds than most newer systems, but I'm not sure if that's relevant.
