Knights are the third tier units that wipe out castles. Spearmen are what two peasants fuse into.

On the screen where you see what maps you've won, you can tell the difficulty level you've beaten them on by the dude shown. Very Clever uses a Baron(highest level piece), and Very Stupid uses the Peasant. It goes through the ranks like that.

I don't know that I had any castles until I was holding off yellow to the east... the key is to actually not dive straight into the merger in the center. You win or lose this map in the first five turns or so, and the first three or four determine how long it takes you to win or lose. And always wai...

Surrender offer at turn 30, turned it down, but still have a strong-ish yellow to stomp out, and the very southern tip of brown to clear out. The key is sort of drawing brown to overextend north of your central empire, cut that push, let them do it again while you establish and fortify a good border...

I got as far as the late 20's, and ended up having to keep switching focus from a yellow(4) empire in the east, a brown(6) one to the southwest, and light green(5) to the north. It could have easily been dark green(3) in the north, depending on my decisions, and whether brown is aggressive against t...

I'd never quite thought of it that way... just have an Instant Action mode where you set all the parameters, but only play one mission.

Bartell, the mail problem is that you must not have Outlook or another email client installed. If you had the games installed on your computer, Sean couldn't remove them, unless I'm misunderstanding you. Try and elaborate more clearly, and maybe we can help you out.

After giving it the benefit of every possible doubt, I have finally uninstalled 4.1 and gone back to 4.0. The fractal hills are more realistic but it's much harder to understand their shape, which makes planning difficult. Some form of terrain height shading or contour line marking would go a long ...

Playing as a member of the Afrika Korps, fighting the British across the desert, there'd be no need to walk the player through Auschwitz, just as playing Medal of Honor or Call of Duty doesn't require you to spend a half an hour strolling through the Japanese-American internment camps.

There were enemies, I killed them, and had fairly free roam of the top of the map. They were defending further south than usual.
