3 way battles would be pretty cool. Things would get very hectic very fast.
In a three-way, just go hide in a corner 'tll the others have beaten the hell out of each other - then go mop up the survivors!

I like the idea of knowing when the objectives are complete. Were I to choose the implementation of this, I would vote for two little red lights (like LEDs) on the console, which would turn green when an objective was completed. Why two you ask? Well, I would also like to see the ability to set pri...

I also have a problem with the Fuel Depot missions, where the AI wastes all their missiles missing the enemy squadron or blowing up civilians and I end up failing the mission because we all run out of missiles. Ugh. Too true. It would be nice if we could order specific ships to do particular jobs -...

I've been playing Seans games for over two years now (since I found a demo version of Slay on a compilation CD) and can truthfully say that I've spent more hours on them and had more fun than on any other games.

The way I see it is that hours for dollars, Seans games come out way ahead.

End of mission.

Here's a little something thats always bugged me. How do you know when you've completed you missions' primary objective ? When you are tasked with taking out a single target like a starbase/shuttle/freighter, it is reasonably easy to see when you have done it, but sometimes it can be a real bear tyi...

Little Red Dots

Now here's a random little request. Perhaps it's my failing eyesight, but I have a tremendous amount of difficulty telling apart green and blue ships on the radar screen. I know the races are colour coded, but as we never meet more than one race at a time, couldn't friendlies be shown as green and e...

What about records for wingmen as well, though obviously not in nearly as much detail, missions and kills perhaps. Though i suppose the average wingman has a life expectancy of about 1-3 missions. On that point what would be good, would be names for wingmen. A random name generator would be good fo...

Though it would mean whenever i blow up a wingmate accidentally it would be a permanent scar on my pilots record! Actually, thats what I had in mind! We're always looking for ways to improve the value of our wingmen! I'd be fascinated to see the results of a long (50+missions) career - how many fri...

This is a little "out there" but wouldn't it be interesting if exploding ships shot off a few missiles? Just a thought... Ooooh! I like this! Rather than just a cloud of debris (triangles) - how about a debris field of whatever wasn't destroyed when the ship exploded? There'd be loads of missiles f...

No one outranks me, I'm forever in a ship, far surpassing anything any other wingleader flies.
Yeah! All the other ships in the sector are in for repairs from all the friendly fire - you have to chose from what's left flyable!!

How elite is your Roll of Honour? My lowest commander on it has 3 Gold Crosses, 5 Medals of Outstanding Courage, and 4 Medals of Conspicuous Bravery. My top pilot has: 8 Gold crosses (or maybe more - that's all it can display! Full logbook required!) 4 Outstanding Courage (I don't count the 'lesser...

But the front gets exactly the same number of ships each and every time, with a very regular distribution of price. You have to remember that yours is only one squadron of many operating in this sector. You get to chose your wingmen from the pool of available craft after higher ranking squadron com...

Top scores and Pilot Career records

I was just wondering how I was doing compared to other commanders. I usually die around mission 60 with around 100 kills. It usually happens really abruptly and, unless I get into the (increasingly crowded and elite) highscore table, I'm left me with no record of the career I've just had. I thought ...

While we're talking about mass and velocity, here are a couple of things that have been preying on my mind (I know, I need to get out more!) 1: Maximum speed. Civilian craft go slow. Military vessels go fast. Both have a maximum velocity. Why? In space, as long as you apply thrust, you conti...

OK, so here's a thought. You're attacking a cruiser/battleship/factory complex - what you need to be able to do is TARGET specific components - engines/turrets/bridge etc. This is similar to modern helicopter warfare where one single command helicopter can individually target all of it 16 anti-tank ...
