Re: Price per unit and Palm grow

Pine trees grow on one of your hexagons at the beginning of your turn, if that hexagon has two or more pine trees next to it. Palm trees grow on hexagons next to the sea if one or more palm trees are next to them. Gravestones turn into trees on the next turn. I like the idea of being able to sync yo...

Re: Conquest for Android

I had a go at Android programming last year but I found it would be a nightmare to port my Objective C to Java. I'm waiting on Google bringing out better tools for using C++ with Android and a decent book would be nice too. Looks like one is out on Amazon soon so hopefully I'll get started when I ge...

Re: Running on ipad2

The game will run exactly the same on any iPad so that's shouldn't be the problem. For an enemy piece to be drawn on the screen one of your pieces has to currently have a line of sight to it and must have "spotted" it too. If all of your troops are hiding behind a wall and nobody is looking over the...

Re: Firefight for iPad (April 2013)

I'll do some more work on improving tank AI but they'll always sometimes make what seems like strange decisions as they can't see everything that the player sees and the men inside may be terrified! I'm working on adding networking right now. I'll probably add an Eastern front set of maps but it wil...

Re: Android

Sorry the Android port is taking longer than I thought! I had a play with Android programming using Java but it'd be a huge amount of work to port my iOS Objective C code to Java, and difficult to keep the two versions synced. I'm still waiting for Google to make it easy for us to use C++ and for so...

Re: New campaign

I am planning on adding Eastern front maps and units to iOS soon but it will be a huge amount of work.

Right now though I am working on adding networking to iOS Firefight and later in the year I'll port this new version of Firefight back into Windows.

Re: Player versus player

I'm working on adding networking to the iOS version right this minute!

I'm also planning on porting the iOS version back into Windows later this year (it's considerably better) and that will have the networking in it too.

Re: Support for native resolution?

I've not done any work on my Windows games for years as I've been concentrating on iOS games. But, I'm planning on getting all of the games onto the Windows AppStore this year so I'll look into all the bugs that have crept in over the years with new versions of Windows when I do that.

Sorry I don't reply much here!

I like the idea of the health bar so I'll add that to the to-do list for the next version.

Re: Hows linux support with Wine\Mint?

Sorry I can't help out with Wine as that's not something I've ever got into. I'm planning on refreshing all of my Windows games and getting them onto the Windows AppStore sometime later this year.

Re: Critical Mass

Sorry there's not much going on with Critical Mass lately. For the past few years I've been almost exclusively doing iOS games simply because there's more money to be made there. I am planning to return to Windows this year though as I'd like to get all of my games on the Windows AppStore. I'll refr...

Re: Wizard rule error (non-code bug)

Sorry to take so long to get this bug fixed! I'm pretty sure I've got that working properly now and it'll be fixed in version 4.0.1. It takes Apple about a week to approve an update so it should go live sometime around Feb 10th 2016.

That sounds like a good idea! I'll have a think about that for the next update.
