Re: Firefight for iPad #2

Have you dealt with the issue where two tanks will come into LOS of each other, and if there isn't a kill scored after they fire so many shots at each other, they will just sit there staring at each other and not respond to orders to either move or fire? That has always been one of my least favorit...

Re: Firefight for iPad #2

Other stuff I've done: - all shots now use vector maths so when say a tank shell hits the sloping front of an enemy T34 (if it doesn't penetrate) it will ricochet in an accurate direction and ping off the sloping armour up into the air. If it had hit the vertical side of a Tiger tank it would bounce...

Re: Firefight for iPad #2

Here's another screenshot showing a church and graveyard. All the gravestones etc... are live objects so if a tank runs over them or artillery hits them they'll get smashed (and they'll no longer provide much cover for infantry). The infantry squad has been ordered to move through the graveyard, so ...

And when you pinch zoom the screen zooms out to show you the whole game map with individual unit markers:

In the black space at the bottom I'll probably show the game stats.

Firefight for iPad (April 2013)

Here is a new screenshot showing a Sherman tank in a village. You can see the tank's speedometer, rev counter, gear and current position of its brake levers. Seeing all the controls working looks pretty cool as the tank drives along! It's been ordered to move to the other side of the village so it w...

Re: Firefight for iPad

Though, now, as I'm thinking of it, you mentioned better graphics in the iPad version, and perhaps those are the limitation to map rendering and not the iOS. Yes, it's not an issue to do with the OS it's purely down to having more photo-realistic and naturalistic maps. I thought I made a pretty goo...

Re: How does line of sight work?

To be seen by the other side troops must have an unobstructed line of sight to them, but they also must then be "spotted" too. The chances of being spotted are based on things such as are the troops moving, are they standing up, is it a big object like a tank, is the object shooting. I guess what ha...

Please send me an email to sean@windowsgames.co.uk and I'll sort things out. I guess you bought the games for a Windows PocketPC/mobile phone? Are you after Windows PC versions, iPhone or Android?

Re: Downloading and Purchasing 2.0

Yes, so many people preferred the old 2D looking spaceships to the current version that I kept an installer for that version. If you go ahead and buy the current version and send me an email I'll reply with the old version as an attachment.

Re: Need Conquest Full Versions Restore

Hi, sorry I do get really behind on answering emails sometimes, especially when I really get into some coding. I replied to a lot of emails this morning and I'll try and catch up completely tomorrow morning. I'm always happy for past customers to re-download the full versions and you can keep the li...

Re: Thank you

Thanks! Let me know what you prefer about the Android version. It's actually based on the older version of the iOS code. Is it the graphics in the Android version you prefer or something else?
