Runou in 18 days. Very unusal strategy from the start. Southeastern 2 hexes leave alone for 3 days, then put a castle. Northeastern 2 hexes make a man and do as much damage as possible until he is killed. Center territory makes a man on the first day and manages to keep him alive until he can starve...

Whether you beat Regy or not is entirely determined by one single non-intuitive move on the first day of the game. I have it at 25 days and from studying it, think I could get it down to 22 or 23 days. Also, I only play on Very Clever. Roulk is another that can be tough. I have it at 22 days. DarJones

I just beat Rouft in 21 days from a previous best of 25 days. This was the most unusual win I have ever had. I won entirely with spearmen. All enemies were destroyed by cutting them off and starving them. There was one castle that I built a knight to destroy on the very last day with no living enemi...

Paunn is another hard one. I have it in 22 days. It would be a toss-up which is more difficult, Paunn or Ripl.

Ripl in 23 days

This is arguably the hardest to beat level on the latest version of Slay. Anyone else get better than 23 days? Note that I never accept surrender so this is played all the way to the bitter end.

Bumping this up so it will be readily available for players who want to use the modified Designs.dat file to import their custom ship designs. By combining this utility with the modified Designs.dat, you can create and fly and fight ships that exceed anything Critical Mass can possibly do on its own...

You can win all levels on all versions of slay up to and including the latest version that Sean designed so that it selectively attempts to "cut off" any possible enemies.

Do some due diligence, learn how to play.

I've watched it quite a bit and was confused over it too. A tree has to be one day old before it can propagate. Pay close attention to the territories that have adjacent trees and you will find that the trees originated on different days in the game and one of the trees involved has not yet reached ...

As an interesting aside, I've been able to beat 2 islands with nothing except peons and spearmen. It is an interesting way to play to never build a knight or baron and yet still win the game.

Cufi was one of the islands, I don't remember the other
