You accidentally hyperspaced into an enemy seige of a colony and about 10 squadrons attack 3 squadrons and 2 turret rings and a few star base and you start behind enemy squadrons instead of infront of your ally squadrons. That sounds pretty cool! That's one of the good things about CM - infinite mi...

There is my opinion which is right in everyway, because my word is law.  Yes SIR!! Sorry SIR!! :D I'm sure that there is no such thing as a "perfect" missile load, in the same way that there is no "perfect" ship. It depends on your style of playing - if you're a long-range sniper or...

Re: What type of missiles do you use?

>Are the geenees more useful than daycorns because of their added power with decent homing capabilities? Daycorns may be fast and agile, but they are so weak. Personally I'd always rather have Daycorns than Geenees, I don't really like Geenees at all. If you're in a dogfight with lots of turning an...

Yes, it's a compromise between your guys yelling yee-ha and chasing the first enemy thing they see, versus single-mindedly going for the objective and getting splatted from behind. I just find that 99.9% of the time they tend to do the former! I don't think it should be made overly-complicated, othe...

Now THAT is REALLY interesting! I always get annoyed if I have to hyperspace and all my wingmen immediately become cowards and hyperspace as well for no good reason, when there's an undefended factory or whatever right in front of them!

I would still prefer high turn/thrust. I'm not a fan of shields at all, because of the cost/weight.

I'm just going for "playability", and think that fighters should have a greater top-end than bombers. Otherwise you could just design a "perfect" fighter, then copy it and change all its Daycorns and Geenees for Plectrons and Oriks. The ship has the same thrust/turn/stealth/radar characteristics but...

Bots beyond four do not repair. Is this a fact or a speculation? I bow to your superior knowledge of the game mechanics! A more in-depth game "help" should say things like this! (BTW, I've tried my hypothetical "repair ship" and it's absolutely s**t at repairing itself, which seems to confi...

one of my guys gets behind me and im like DONT FREAKING SHOOT ME!!! and try to use avoid contact to make him go away I think it's actually quite realistic that squadron orders seem to take a turn or two before they're obeyed, even down to the level that if you're flying in "line" formation and make...

...but bombers in "real life" are slower than fighters, since they have to carry heavier ordnance. I know that in space this doesn't necessarily matter, but in my opinion it would somehow feel more "right" if fighters were quicker than bombers - after all, isn't their speed and agility what makes th...

The repair bot to "create" ammo is interesting - it would have to be quite slow, and more expensive than a standard bot, otherwise you would rely on it too much. Yes, I like it!! I must say, in all honesty, that I don't really think much of "barrage" or "kamikaze". Isn't "cover" kinda the same as us...

I guess if we're going all sci-fi here, repair bots are nano-things that have the capability of creating/repairing things on a molecular level, or something like that. Or maybe I just watch too much X-Files :D What's the relationship between the number of bots to their repair capabilities? i.e., a s...
