I haven't, but logically there's no reason why they couldn't...

But could a repaired repair bot repair a repaired repair bot that was repaired by another repaired repair bot?

Yes, that makes more sense. The standard of enemy ships destroyed must also have a bearing on medals, i.e. killing 3 Anacondas versus killing 3 Drones.

the amount of thrust doesn't actually determine a top-speed of a spacecraft. So in "real life" every spacecraft has the same theoretical top speed, it's just a case of how long it takes to get to it? I don't think that any ship should be so fast as to be able to out-run a missile in a straight line...

It seems to be a complex mix of -

Hits
Kills
Friendly hits/kills
If your wingmen survive
If you eject
If the mission is successful
Number of missiles remaining

Anybody please correct me if I'm wrong.

What's that bit that says something like "someone has expressed a concern that the subject doesn't satisfy the guidelines for inclusion"? (I've never used Wikipedia before.)

Thrust vs. Top Speed

I've just realised that there's something in CM that doesn't seem to make sense to me - the top speed of ships. I'm no physicist, so bear with me, but "thrust" in the game seems to just refer to acceleration, and has no effect on top speed. More weight = less thrust, more engines = more thrust, obvi...

So does that mean that turn ratings for missiles are not the same as turn ratings for ships? That doesn't seem to make sense!

Surely turn is turn, full stop. I mean, when you're designing a ship, the more heavy stuff you put on the lower your turn rating becomes, and a missile has a fixed turn rating...?

I've also occasionally been out-turned by a missile while flying a high-turn rating ship, which seemed illogical.

Most of the ships I design tend to be big and a bit clunky, without much fine detail, so that they still look good even with a low zoom.

It would help if the "View kills and objectives" screen showed the kills of other friendly squadrons, for example so you can see how many enemy radars/transmitters/observatories are left. Or maybe some kind of on-screen indicator that tells you when the mission objective has been completed. It would...

I generally use .47 for the same reason, but what annoys me is that the zoom resets for every mission!
