Those of you interested in creating your own historical units should note the following.

When you edit a unit's .txt file, you appear to have the choice of programming availability by quarters of the year - Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4.

Q4 doesn't work, has no effect.

Q1 is actually the first four months of the year, Jan - April.
Q2 is the middle four months of the year, May - August.
Q3 is the last four months of the year, Sep - Dec.

For infantry anyway. I haven't tested it with tanks or guns.
