Good game but no map editor? What about campaign creator?
Online play?

Definitely need a campaign editor so we can get some good French campaigns. French Cavalry vs 3rd and 4th Panzer Divisions in Belgium.

Looking forward to 4.0

You can find most of the game's data in easily moddable text files in the data sub-directory. Just make sure you use a text editor (like Notepad) and not a more sophisticated word processor.

See this thread for an example of a user-made campaign

Keep in mind that he's still updating the game.

Also, working on the game is not his top prority.

We should see online play, new terrain, new countries, and other stuff soon.

When was the last update?

Thanks, but I don't need anyone to confirm the obvious.

We should see online play, new terrain, new countries, and other stuff soon.

I hope so. I don't so much care for new countries but the ability to edit maps, scenario points and OOBs would be sufficient. Multiplayer won't work well in this game because it will be too hard to see enemy units and manage your own.

When was the last update?

According to the announcement post in June of 2006. But what you have to keep in mind is that he spent a lot of time ('top priority') on Firefight just prior to that update.

Actually

I think it came out last year.

We really need to be able to use transport. Hard to conduct armored assaults when the Chef de Bataillon is a pied.

Even more noticeable when you play Kursk. In assaults like that the CO needs to be in an APC or at least a small vehicle and when you do an armored assault [all tanks] why is the objective in the trees?

I would say that the ability to load units en portee would actually be the priority over everything else.

Good idea, but hard to doo. Programation was not just imagine.
But it was thing to debate in wish list topic no?

I think the Wish List was more oriented toward Feature Requests rather than the debate about what should be included.

Well I would gladly pay money for an update to the application that included Feature Requests.

I mean this is a pretty damn good RTS. It's better than Sudden Strike I/II and both the APRM and Hidden Stroke updates. It just needs a few things to bring it up to speed and I would bet that with the number of people who responded to the wish list, he could make some pretty good scratch for his effort.

Problem is... most of us who posted here in the wishlist already own the game, so there's not much new revenue to be gained by pleasing us!

I own it as well, however I am still willing to pay for an upgrade. Plenty of people own Grand Theft Auto (insert any of 5,000 titles here). That didn't stop them from buying later editions of the game; the same happened with the HS mod for Sudden Strike II. Over 300 players plunked down $30-45 for the mod. Perhaps we could establish a price for an upgrade. MY CHASSEUR REGIMENT COMMANDERS DO NOT WALK INTO BATTLE BEHIND ARMOR!!!

Anyways......

Exactly. It would definitely be worth it for us to pony up a little cash to make it worth his while.

If he ever adds multiplayer to Firefight and Critical Mass, I'd definitely buy a second license for them, that's for sure.
