Firefight plays well in Sun VirtualBox and in Crossover Game

Great! FF plays perfectly under Sun VirtualBox on my MacBook 13" machine (running a clean XP install), and also well (with some slow screen redraws) under Crossover Games. Sold another copy (yes, it did take me a while to buy).

An additional question though ... how do you control the unit scale of the game ... that is, I know when I set up a new game I can buy only, say 4-5 squads of Allied infantry ... will the Axis side stay somewhat similar instead of automatically generating a much larger force?

Points are fixed but depend on the difficulty level.

Very Easy Defender: 117 v Very Hard Attacker: 163

Easy Defender: 107 v Hard Attacker: 178

Normal Defender: 98 v Normal Attacker: 196

Hard Defender: 89 v Easy Attacker: 215

Very Hard Defender: 81 v Very Easy Attacker: 235

Note that these ratios are fixed, so if you choose to be a Very Hard Attacker, you automatically fight a Very Easy Defender etc.

I find that I do not control the unit scale of the game. In attack I have a reinforced infantry company. In defence I have a reinforced infantry platoon. I am not considering "only tank" games of course.

Almost always when I start a game I sell all my sub-units and then buy what I want. Lately I have been playing some games where I select "tanks and infantry" or "mostly tanks" but I do not buy any tanks. When I do that, the enemy AI seems to use a similar force, that is , no tanks. What I wanted to do was see if I could overcome an enemy with tanks by using infantry anti-tank weapons, and/or anti-tank guns.

I found that if I bought 1-only cheap afv, and parked it at the bottom of the map leaving it out of use, the enemy would employ tanks.

If anyone has an exception to this, I would be interested in getting the game specs .
