silly surrendering

Post by Andy » Sat Jul 30, 2005 2:32 pm

two guys do a kamakaze run at 3 SMGs, naturally the first guy dies when he stands up, but the 2nd gets to about a persons length from one of the SMGs before he dies, but because he got so close the two severely wounded riflemen behind him surrender - surely theyd notice that the guy they just surrendered to is dead????

is there any prospect of rescuing prisoners? ive routed the enemy attack and got a squad of my guys mixed in with mine that surrendered earlier, it would be nice if this would result in me freeing them, using a similar parameters to capturing the flag - within a certain distance and closer than the enemy???

If the prisoners had a chance of being rescued, then you would assuredly shoot your prisoners right?

it is fun to have a flamethrower back at the prisoner gathering point to exterminate them before the battles over...

That is not called fun, that is called atrocity.

To get back to the Topic of freeing captured soldiers: Even if it was possible in Firefight it would only have effect on your statistics and not on the gameplay since soldiers surrendering quite usually drop their weapons...

or have them taken off them. on that note would it be realistic for the surrendering guy to give his ammo to the nearest enemy, if not rifle (because rifles cud b diff), at least grenades, as these dont really need to fit anything

Those surrendered prisoners just stay at the bottom of the screen for show. In reality they would have been marched off the board long ago!
