Random thoughts and desires

* Would it be possible to get an estimated ETA of artillery strike?

* ...and for the ETA to be less upon retargeting if the new target is close to the previous one? e.g. if a barrage just ended, ordering another barrage at the same exact target space might not take as much delay as the first time.

* What about allowing the player to survey the battlefield and check unit status (including all remaining enemy units, dead or alive) once the battle is over?

this already happens. when the stats at the end of a mission come up, scroll about in the window and you will see all enemy units, dead or alive. you also there have the stats for survived, died, wounded, captured for each side

That's not something that the Forward Observation Officer would be told. When it says "shot" in the radio commentary it means that the artillery has fired and "Fire for effect" means that the guns have adjusted and are ready to unleash the whole bombardment.
