I'm buying a netbook.

Post by mitype2 » Thu Jul 15, 2010 10:35 pm

Hey guys. Sunday I'm planning on buying a netbook. My question is will I be able to install Sean's games? The biggest reason I'm buying the netbook other than because of my health is so that I can play slay when I'm away from home or when I'm stuck upstairs in bed. This is the one I'm looking at.

Thanks guys any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't see a reason it shouldn't work out. Netbooks generally don't have optical drives so you'll need something different than a CD to install it, but a USB stick should work fine.

Everything works good. I hate Windows 7 starter so I'm working with Ubuntu 10.04.

I may be a bit late, but... I play the games on a similarly specced Netbook (Acer Aspire One 531). Only difference is that I run Windows XP not Windows 7. And yours is a sexy colour. All seem to work fine in its native resolution of 1024x600.

I wish I could install Windows XP but I don't have a cd drive. I can install Ubuntu but it runs inside of Windows. Windows 7 starter just plain sucks. I guess my biggest beef is the themes but I was able to find stardock my colors and a few free themes. ThemeXP used to be pretty good if you could kill all the malware. They had some great themes.

Yeah it will work. Just have flash drive and you will have no problems with that because it has no CD ROM.

I'm not a fan of Windows 7, but it works ok on Acer Aspire.

It might not be able to run that game due to the face that netbooks are low performance machines. Check the requirements and see if it will meet them.

Slay, and Moab run slick on Ubuntu 11.04 and JoliOs 1.2 through Wine on my netbook. The other games puke and crash. I'm thinking about trying to get things going with PlayonLinux. POL is a front end for Wine that makes installing games a bit easier.
