Time Discrepancy

Post by Skywalker » Wed Jul 06, 2005 5:35 am

The time on my computer clock (accurately synchronised) is 12 hours ahead of the time displayed on the site when I refresh it, yet the time is noted to be GMT, which is 10 hours behind my time (I live in Canberra, therefore setting my clock to AUS EST, GMT+10:00, also known as "(GMT+10:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney"). Since you obviously know more about Windows than me, do you know why this is? I run Windows XP SP2 synchronised to time.windows.com

Also, I heard about this interesting headline:
"Arsonist Held Over Massachusetts Fire" from the same category as
"British Left Waffles on Falkland Islands"
Wing Commander Skywalker

I've noticed the clock being slightly out as well.
As I post this it is 10:25 BST (= 9:25 GMT). Lets see what time it is assiged.

British Summer Time.. it's GMT+1 and what the UK is currently in. GMT is Greenwich Mean Time because the line runs right through Greenwich.
