Scratch is a simple game maker very easy to use. You can find it at http://scratch.mit.edu
I find it very useful for simple games.

I haven't personally used it, but I think I would show it to my little brother. I prefer using other programs. Although my first game making tool was Klik & Play and reminds me of this concept to a degree.

I used to have the demo of click and play it was fun. But is Scratch you can do more concepts for games than click and play. It is a little on the younger side though.

I've used to use klick and play too. I became quite fond of it actually at one point.

I've used scratch. Very easy to use thanks to the code building blocks, but it seems too limited in capabilities. Good if you plan to make a simple, small-script, board game with an interpreter.
