VB.NET 2005 vs. C/C++

Post by DanVerssen » Thu Jan 10, 2008 6:06 pm

I've started programming simple turn-based 2D games using Visual Basic .NET 2005

In the past, I've worked a little with C++, and VB seems easier to code in (at least to me).

Are there any limitations I'm going to run into by using VB instead of C/C++?

If you want to do Windows programming, then I strongly recommend VB.NET.

Edit It all depends on what you want to do. If you want to write games such as those written by Sean, then VB/VB.NET would be easier to use. Most programs nowadays are GUI programs, which VB/VB.NET handle better (at least on Windows systems). I personally use C/C++, but from a novice's point of view I would use VB/VB.NET. The language is simpler.
