When you play a network game Slay will tell you what it thinks your IP number is but if you are behind a router this IP number will not be the number that computers on the Internet see you as, but just your IP number within your local network. To find out your real IP number use this link:

Thanks very much to Greg Walthour for showing me this website!

very correct sean i found this out a while back
also remember becuase of those routers some
people will need to "open/forward" a port also
along with an ip#....now sometimes with port opening
it wants the other ip# not the one at showmyip site...
that ip# it will use to open the port will probably start
with a 192.x.x.x....

interseting enough sean i am able to use the 192.x.x.x
rather then the showmyip when i have run any online
game...when i want to have a friend over to my
house and play a network game...

of course ya can't do that with yours unless you
buy 2 versions of slay, conquest..etc...which is
cool....you gotta protect your investment...

enjoy!
