Question, Re: Default Theme

Post by gilbertgea » Thu Jan 25, 2007 5:19 pm

Greetings all,

First of all, my congratulations to Sean on creating a very appealing and challenging game. I saw an add for it at BoardGameGeek and it looked interesting, so I thought I would give it a try. I have to say, I've been 'hooked' since I downloaded the trial version. The game is simple to learn, though tactically and strategically complex. I'm probably not saying anything that nobody hasnt said, yet.

I also appreciate that it is fairly easy to modify, i.e. in creating new themes. The question I have, for anyone, is about the default .bmp file. There is a column of trees; from top to bottom: a pine, palm trees, and a darker version of the pine. What is the purpose of the darker pine on the bottom?

The dark pine is only used in the demo version of Slay to show the islands that are not allowed to be played until you've bought the full version. So you don't really need to worry about making an icon there!
