Removing own soldiers - bug or feature?

Just read this post:
You can dump your men in the ocean if you so choose. Just click on a man, drag him over on top of the small man on the right hand side to increase his level by one and DON'T RELEASE the left mouse button, drag him to the ocean and then release the button. He will disappear and your money will increase by the amount of his value.


Is this a bug or feature? Didn't know it before and i am not sure if i will use it in the game. Sounds a bit unfair.

It has been fixed in the current version so is no longer an issue.

Really? The trick still works in my version which is 5.0s

No, the trick does not still work in 5.0S. You only think it does because you don't understand how it worked in the first place. The bug allowed a player to completely get rid of men off the board. The way it works now you can only get rid of the incrementally added man, not the man you picked up from the playing grid.

Unless, of course, you have found a new bug.

Oh,i see.
The incremental man gets destroyed but you still have to place the previous guy.
