I spent a couple hours this afternoon tinkering to come up with a nice colour scheme for Slay -- something with very different colour values for each player, and hopefully rather appealing. This is
what I came up with -- plug it into the .skn file of
your favourite theme and choose the "theme default"
setting under "colours". I hope you'll like it.

Cheers,
Dave W

colour1=238,234,158
colour2=168,56,55
colour3=0,98,165
colour4=221,173,17
colour5=135,104,161
colour6=70,171,59

Wow.

I was a little skeptic when I first tried it, but it's really grown on me. I've made it my new default.

thanks

Thanks for the vote of support, OrigamiGuy!

For me, it just makes it much clearer whose land is whose.

Maybe I'll have to try it when I start playing Slay again, I've been sticking mostly to CM, MoAB, and Conquest.

Thanks Dave, I'll add that to the standard list of colour schemes. How about the name "Distinct?"

That would be great, Sean, thanks very much!
"Distinct" is a fine name for it.

Ah, now you got me going.

I tried this on my laptop; with the LCD screen some colors don't look right at certain angles. This scheme seems to work over a wide viewing angle.

colour1=0,255,0
colour2=224,240,0
colour3=0,224,224
colour4=224,0,192
colour5=0,128,255
colour6=240,192,0

How about calling that "LCD screen"? If anyone has other colour schemes they like let me know but also give a reasonand a name of the scheme. Thanks!

"LCD screen" sounds fine to me.
