I'm seeing this relatively often... often enough to comment on it anyway. You fire off a salvo at some dummy sitting duck... all your salvo is right on the money... straight down the throat... and one, I think I've seen two, missiles come out the other side of the target... like they jumped over it at the last second.

The "missile through the target" bug has been around for a very long time. I reported it to Sean during beta testing and he tweaked up the collision detection routine to address it. Its much better than the original but still can occur. The sequence is that you release 2 or more missiles at a target and usually accelerate your ship at the same time. The missiles are fired, the first one causes an explosion, the second passes through the explosion, then the 3rd and/or 4th missiles repeat the process. A maximum of 2 out of 4 missiles fired can pass through the target. Interestingly, the AI never fires more than 2 missiles so this particular bug appears to affect only the human player.
