Speaks for itself:
-Ability to choose your missiles at the ship selection screen.
-15 more missiles.
-Free play: infinite credits, all ships, choose mission.
-Guided missile.
-Advanced ship control mode: manually specify turn and thrust.
-LoS assist: a thin line showing what can be seen by any friendlys(somewhat like MOAB or fog).

Advanced features:

Wingmen control:
While taking your turn, you can see and change what your wingmen are going to do.

Advanced missile control:
Create 5 missile slots to represent the 5 sub-frames i which missiles are fired. Drag and drop a missile to a slot to fire it during that subframe.
This will allow:
-Fire missiles in a specified order.
-No need to fire mutiple missiles knowing that only the last one will hit.

The ability to chose your missiles at mission start really sounds apealing. This could even be set up so that a smaller missile load would give you some extra money, an make the ship lighter.

I also like ths skirmish suggestion - I especially miss this when I want to test new ships in the expensive end of the scale.
