Rapid-Fire Bug(?)

Apologies if someone has already pointed this out (it may even have been fixed in the latest updates?).

Anyway, I've noticed there's a way to fire a lot of missiles in quick succession, without having to wait a turn to reload your launchers - great if you need to take out a heavily armoured target in a hurry!

It works because empty launchers are instantly reloaded at the start of each turn, before any missiles are launched.
As long as you have at least one loaded missile launcher, you can click on additional missiles during the action phase (but before all pre-selected missiles have been launched), and they'll be fired as well. It's a lot easier if you start the action phase by pressing spacebar rather than clicking on the button.

Suppose your ship has 4 launchers:

Normally, you could only fire 4 and 0 missiles alternately. That's an average of 2 missiles per turn.
By exploiting the bug(?), you could fire 3 missiles per turn (continuous), or 3 missiles followed by 4 missiles (one-off). That's a 50 - 75% boost in firepower!

Related to this, there's another trick you can do...
Suppose you're tailing an enemy. You guess they'll turn right, and select a heap of plectrons to fire in that direction next turn. Now what happens if they actually turn left? Normally, you'd have wasted all those missiles.
What you could do, as soon as you see the enemy is turning the other way, is cancel your remaining missiles, or even switch them for Daycorns or Geenees.

Remember, your ship will always fire missiles in this order: Daycorn, Yatari, Geenee, Plectron, Drachan, Orik.

I believe it is fixed in the latest version. There was also a bug where you could push down the space bar and hold it down after clicking to hyperspace and you would be sped out of there in jig time.

You can manipulate the order of missiles fired. Load a ship with a lot of daycorn, genee, plectron in that sequence on each row. Then when you fire missiles, you can select them in sequence to fire the way you want them to.

Cool. I suspected someone might have noticed it before, but I did a forum search and couldn't find anything.
