Worth the buy?

Post by cet0708 » Sun Mar 22, 2009 6:44 pm

Hi all, I was feeling nostalgic so I looked this game up (it's one of my old favorites). As you might guess from the title, I'm wondering if it is worth the buy. It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but 20 bucks? Seems overpriced considering the more current games you can get for the same amount. I thought I'd ask here since I'm assuming you all have made the purchase. Thanks for your time.

Well, asking such a question here, though, obviously will yield a slightly biased answer anyway, just because everyone of us who does check back once in a while appearantly still enjoys some of the games.
That being said I for one definitely recommend the full version, if you enjoyed the demo. It easily provides you with as much play time as most major budget productions do plus you can come back to it at any time later on and get a free update. In fact I agre with the space predator in that you should consider getting the whole set providing that the offer pays off as soon as you enjoy two of the games and I for one actually just got into some of the games after getting the full version.

The "All Windows Games" package will provide more hours of play than almost any other $30 you can spend on games.

There are only two commercial games that really even compete in my library with the amount of time I've spent playing Critical Mass alone.
