Newbie...Where's My Ship?

Post by Fenny » Sat May 07, 2005 12:28 am

Hey gang...

I built a ship and exported it to the folder. My question is...

Why isn't my ship available for a mission now? Where do I find it?

You don't need to export it, thats just for sharing the design with friends.

Basically the ship's available are randomized from all the in game ships, so if you don't see your ship first time, you could start a new game and try again, as i have a custom ship list full of ships, it can often take me 3-4 attempts at making a game to find a new ship i just built.

Also, the ship can cost no more than a third of your credits, otherwise people don't buy wingmen, (a serious problem in Critical mass 3), so when starting out that's 116. So if your ships got loads of armour or tons of missiles, you may need to remove some to reduce its cost.

Sorry, still confused...

Is the ship automatically saved?
Or is there a SAVE button to click on?

Cuz when I'm finished and try to leave the screen, I get the "all your changes will be lost" pop-up.

You need to hit "OK" instead of "Exit" (maybe it's "Cancel"). This messes people up a lot.

So here's the summary:

Exit with "OK"
Random ships appear. Sometimes you must wait.
Costs no more than a third of your total credits.
