I think respawn is a good idea; the way I thought of it after Steve posted was that commanders that survive would just go on until they die. Maybe a limit to missions would be good, but really, if you have a good commander you're gonna want to play him/her.

My two cents worth...

Make everyone use the same type of ship so the playing field is level... and have a 'no eject' rule!

Even if we wanted to make everyone use the same ship we cannot because the available ships are random. But I think part of the competition is using your own designs. It will in part show who is luckiest, the best player, and the best ship designer.
If I may say so, life is a game, and there's so much to do and so few turns.

I don't know about a "no eject" rule. Ejection is part of the game for a reason.

Well, today's Sunday. Is there anyone who would like to start this thing today? Or should we wait until I completely finish the website?

By the way, if anyone does want to...uh...play, I guess you could email your results to me until I get some forum or something up. My email is ubervideodisc@yahoo.com.

I'm in, though I'm not sure I could be bothered to capture all the %hit statistics.

All right, so whenever you want to send them it's fine with me. I'll be playing myself.

EDIT: The site is partially up. The forums are up, there's a link at the site. The site can be found here.

So, everyone just make sure to post the results at the new forum, and if you already sent them to me via e-mail, I guess I could post them myself.
