Which is/are the best race or races?

Let me rephrase this:
A: Which race or races do you least like fighting against?
B: Which race or races are the best as the player when the player has more than one squadron (eg. Planet Strike, Sector Base, War)?

A. I think Ryckurn or Merikon are the better ones, as they have Warriors and Hurricanes. Computers do very well with those.

B. I dislike fighting against Ryckurn and Merikon, because you end up having to kill many Warriors, which uses up all your missiles.

Im new to CM - well the new version anyway.
I used to play it on Freeware about 10 years ago and about 3 years ago I bought the whole game from Sean. I have to admit, I ahvent played it that much until recently but I do like the look of the Warrior and Heathens.
