Critical Mass Roll Of Honour Manager

Post by n-drx » Mon Sep 26, 2005 3:20 pm

i made a windows program to view all the data contained in the roll of honour. it's also capable of:

- remove unwanted entries
- read commander info also from saved game files
- export data in CSV format (useful to view in spreadsheet apps)

to download it:
http://andreausai.siteburg.com/criticalmass/cmrohm.html

here it's a screenshot:

Hey n-drx

I downloaded your roll of honour reader and I have an obvious glitch. It says all of my commanders were Ryckurn, which is not true. Just thought you might want to know about this. It is a nice program.

I've update CMROHR which can be found at
http://www.btinternet.com/~boxzone/OtherGames/CriticalMass/Critical_Mass.htm

It's now version 1.0E which includes a "Gold Cross / mission" column

CMROHM also got updated! Lots of new features added!

Roll Of Honour Manager: read all the information contained into the RoH, view commander performance index, change the order of the commanders, remove the unwanted ones, export the RoH to view it in apps like Excel.

Saved Games Manager: read every commander info from a saved game, get the number of credits and the performance index, change the name of the commander and that of his squadron, determine if him is still alive and, if you want, kill him!

Read more and download it:

I am very impressed with your work, n-drx! Not to mention envious! Lol! The whole idea of CM add-on's and readers is ingenious and totally adroit! That's it! I'm taking computer programing courses in college! Do you happen to have a web site I could have the honor of linking too :D ?
My thanks and best regards to all my former submitters.

I downloaded this program, and it does everything he says except that I can't figure out how to change the commander from dead to alive. I have been able to kill him though... not like I am glad of it now that I dont know how to switch him back.

I didn't download n-drx's program and I can do that pretty well already, though! Is it a miracle, Doctor?

I'm really sorry for this. :? After you press the Kill button you are prompted with two messages asking for your confirmation. Though such messages are hilarious, they must be taken seriously. Death can't be reverted. You had been warned. I'm sorry to say that there's nothing else to do with that commander. But, if this can make you feel better, the final release of the program will have a feature to insert a commander (either dead or alive) from a saved game to the Roll Of Honour.

I must admit it, the Kill feature is not really useful. :?
Anyway, in the final version it will be called "Retire" and will allow to kill a commander and get him listed into the Roll Of Honour.
The idea is taken from the following post:
http://www.easymessageboard.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=4987&highlight=#4987.
Do you think this could be someway useful?
