maybe we could have a switch to turn off and on
so that we may independtly move each triangle
while ship designing?
i have an idea or 2 that would be nice
to set my tri's to one side or the other
of my ships...or forward or backwards?
and expand the help for each item we add
to our ship...IE...shield stops so many points
of damage a dbl shield stops so many...etc...?

we have a nice way to be able to test our missions 1 by 1
so could we have a way to test a ship...like ship VS ship?
my newest one i can't test till i have like 300 just for
that ship alone so it means i wont know for many missions
i'd kinda like to see what it can do right away...
or would that defeat them purpose of the game ya think?

Well, actually there's not really a good way to test missions, because if you're designing a mission for, say an Admiral, you can't really judge its difficulty by how hard it is as a 1st mission.

this is alot...so maybe a version or 2 down the road...
also maybe a little more flexability in the mission editor
such as asking for a specific ship rather then a group of ships...
i also noticed in the mission i am designing
if i ask a friendly group to be frigates i notice
it wont buy them...it buys other lesser ships
no matter if i give them enough cash or not...
i do understand that we do need to earn some of the higher ships
for our personal ship as a bonus for playing the game
successfully for a good number of missions but maybe
if we could have them as support ships in a different
flight group rather then our own...
i had made 2 flights to support 1 frigate flight
to attack a major starbase...your function
would be to help that frigate flight get in and
do vandamage...not actually operate the frigate
itself...and too be able to say just 1 frigate
instead of group of frigates would be cool....
or am i missing some switch of function in the editor?

ummm how about a re-arming vessel...
or in the designer add a new icon
we can add to ship like a weapons pod
so we can make a support ship...in the bigger battles...

Ooh, or ships with special abilites like cloaking or something!! Or is that too complicated? I guess it is.

that would be cool...but isnt cloaking = stealth?
or would that be something else?

I think he meant something that goes farther than stealth, for example rendering it impossible to find your ship from a certain range on, no matter how good the sensors might be, but in exchange making it impossible to fire for you or something like that.

Yeah, and it's not like always there but activated or something. Or like special weapons that can only be fired once. I'm full of ideas, they're just impractical.

Personally I just cant wait for multilayer! This would be damn cool if it could be played via LAN/Internet!
I would like to see the hyperspace improved a bit (not a big fan of the way it looks!)
if the multilayer was implemented maybe there could be an item that blocks the other player scanning your ship and seeing how much damage you have and how many missiles etc you have... maybe a special type of shield that wont let them scan any deeper r something like that

I, too, got a lot of impractical and/or senseless ideas like making a missile that could be controlled by the player as if it was a ship, letting you strike a particular target like a starbase inside a turret ring.
